President Museveni Welcome Medical Equipment Investor
President Museveni welcomed the medical equipment investor, Catherine Estrampes, in Uganda at State House yesterday.
Catherine Estrampes is the head and Chief Executive Officer of the General Electric Health Care Company.
General Electric Health care supplies medical equipment in Africa, Europe and the Middle-East. It is now extending its services in Uganda.
The equipment supplied include ultra sound X-rays, mobile general X-rays mobile general X-ray machines to scan chests of Covid-19 patients.
President Museveni assured Estrampes of Government’s co-operation in the acquisition of the medical equipment that will be used in hospital facilities around the country.
He also asked the guest to woo more investors to Uganda especially those who deal in agricultural processing.
Estrampes who is based in Isreal, was accompanied by the general manager and the director of the sub-saharan Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya, Eyong Ebai.
The meeting was attended by the finance minister Matia Kasaija, Attorney General William Byaruhanga, the State Minister for Health Joyce Moriku Kaducu and other senior government officials.
