President Museveni Meets with Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister, Calls for Peace negotiation
President Museveni has today held a discussion with the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen Hassen and his delegation at Gulu State Lodge.
Writing on his tweet, Museveni said one of the issues discussed in the meet up is peace and Security affecting Ethiopia currently.
Museveni noted that Ethiopia is the pride of the continent being the oldest countries that was not colonised in Africa.
“A war in Ethiopia would give the entire continent a bad image. There should be negotiations and the conflict stopped, lest it leads to unnecessary loss of lives and cripples the economy. “He stressed.
He noted further noted that “Africa’s problem is that we never discuss ideology, focusing so much on diplomacy. I totally disagree with politics that focuses on ethnic federalism. “
Museveni told the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister that Africa must me one and have a common interest as the only way to prosper.
