Parliament Loses Kyotera Woman MP to COVID-19

The Woman Member of Parliament of Kyotera district Hon. Robinah SSentongo has passed on this morning after contracting COVID-19.

Her death has been announced by the Parliament of Uganda on their social media platform.

She was born on 23-Dec-1961, became a member of parliament of Kyotera district since 2017 to date on the democratic party ticket.

Ssentongo was admitted into the opposition political party three years ago, months before she contested in residual elections conducted in September 2017.

She becomes the third MP to succumb to COVID-19 after her counterparts Rehema Watongola (Kamuli) and Faith Alupo (Pallisa) died of the disease
