Museveni Commissions Industrial Training Facility in Mbale

 President Museveni commissioned the Luban Workshop in Uganda yesterday during a stopover at Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park.

The Modern industrial training facility will provide advanced training in production of machine components focusing on imparting technical and operational skills with the aim of providing direct access to the job market after graduation.

The facility is one of the 10 Luban workshops that China pledged to set up in Africa to provide vocational training for young Africans during the 2018 FOCAC summit in Beijing.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Mary Goretti Kitutu, State Minister for trade Micheal Werikhe and Tiang Tang Group chairman Zhang Zhi Gang.

Museveni also commissioned a 50MW mobile power station serving Sino-Mbale Industrial Park. The Park which currently employs 800 People is estimated to employ 15,000 directly when at full capacity.
