EC Defends Police Actions Against Some Presidential Candidates
Residents of Kasese remain disappointed in the Democratic Party (DP) presidential Candidate Nobert Mao after waiting for him for two days in vain Mao pledged to launch his campaign in the area saying he wanted to console them for they have been treated as orphans for a very long time.
Since Tuesday, DP leaders and supporters camped waiting for him with many concerns that they hoped he would address during his compaign in the area, only to be disappointed.
Residents in Kasese said they expected Mao to address issues of land and tribal conflicts, which have engulfed the district.
Joseph Kule, the DP chairperson for Kasese said Mao was scheduled to compaign in the area on Wednesday before proceeding to Lubirizi.
