Kyagulanyi Hires Mbabazi’s Lawyer in Presidential Poll petition
Former presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi has hired a seasoned lawyer Muhammed Mbabazi of Nyanzi Kiboneka $ Mbabazi advocates to strengthen his legal team.
Mbabazi will be the lead counsel of Kyagulanyi’s legal team.
Muhammad was the lead counsel in the 2016 presidential petition filed by former presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi.
He was also part of the legal team that represented four-time presidential candidate Kiiza Besigye in 2011 and 2006.
Meanwhile the Supreme court today is set to hear an application in which Kyagulanyi is seeking to amend his petition challenging the January 14 presidential elections.
Supreme court deputy registrar Harriet Nalukwago Ssali said the application will be presided over by nine justices of the supreme court headed by nine justices of the supreme court, headed by Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo.
