Hon. Janet Museveni Re -appeals to Parliament to Support the Procurement of 9million Radios
Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni has appealed to Parliament and the budget committee to support the request to secure 9million radios to support home learning for non-candidate classes.
Lat week, the state minister for Education Dr. John Crystostom Muyingo and state minister for planning, David Bahati were tasked by Parlianment to explain the need for 9million and to first make a survey report on the impact and applicability of the radios on facilitating learning of students.
The First lady made this appeal during the launch for “Play Matters: Sparkling Lifelong Learning” project last week.
This project aims at bringing learning through play to the pre-primary and primary school age children impacted by humanitarian crises in Uganda.
The $36,172,231 five-year project is funded by the LEGO Foundation which will deliver play-based learning to the children aged 3 to 12+years strengthening their resilience and building their social, emotional cognitive, physical and creative skills.
