Govt Asks the Public to Work with Police to Identify Rioters
Speaking to the press yesterday at the Ministry of Information, Communications, Technology and National Guidance offices, Minister Judith Nabakooza condemned the criminal acts that led to loss of lives and property, describing the riots as unfortunate.
“I would like to condemn these unfortunate incidents. I call upon everyone, especially the youth, to stay away from any form of rioting.” She said.
Nabakooza appealed to the public to corporate with the Police in identifying the suspects behind the incident and urged presidential candidates to respect standard Operating Procedures set by the Ministry of Health.
“The Campaign period has less than two months left to go, we cannot give up our battle against COVID-19. Let, everyone works towards peace.” She noted.
