Government to Rehabilitate City Roads
Addressing the media in Kampala, the Minister of Kampala metropolitan affairs, Betty Amongi said the government has set aside over Shs9 billion to rehabilitate city roads that are full of potholes.
She explained that Kampala Capital City Authority will now begin filling potholes in all city divisions; in Kawempe, 8 roads will be rehabilitated, Rubaga 10, Nakawa 7, Makindye 9, and Kampala central 9. This will be done within two months.
Among noted that President Museveni has directed the authority to prepare a comprehensive plan for revamping the city infrastructure through a long-term financing model to be presented to the cabinet for approval.
