Gen. Museveni Meets Heads of Security Agencies
The Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held a high-level security meeting at State House, Entebbe, on Tuesday, with all heads of security agencies in the country.
The meeting, according to President Museveni, was to assess the current situation in the country during this post-election period and how to secure the country’s future.
“Met with security chiefs yesterday at State House Entebbe. Our discussions focused on the general security situation in the country,” President Museveni tweeted on Wednesday.The security meeting was attended by senior commanders of the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF), Uganda Peoples Defence Air Force (UPDAF), Uganda Police Force, Special Forces Commandos, the heads of the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and the Internal Security Organization (ISO), among others.
However, matters that were discussed at the meeting were highly confidential and journalists were barred from attending it.
