Deceased Kibuku MP Aspirant replaced by brother

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party has fielded Hamunusi Mudedeere to replace his late brother, Abdullah Nsone, 42, who died in an accident in Iganga last Tuesday.

This was announced by the FDC secretary-general, Nathan Nandala  Mafabi, who had accompanied the party presidential candidate, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, to the deceased’s family on Tuesday at Katiryo village in Buseeta sub-county, Kibuku District.

Nandala said they found it prudent for the party president to pay a visit to Nsone’s family to express his condolences.

Later, Amuriat officially unveiled Mudedeere as the official party parliamentary flag-bearer, although his nomination will take place next week.

“It is unfortunate that we lost such an icon in the party and I did not attend his burial. As you may all be aware, when this tragic incident occurred, was campaigning in Kigezi and Ankole regions, but at least our secretary-general represented us at the burial,” Amuriat said.

Amuriat urged the people of Kibuku to empathise with Nsone’s family and FDC asa party by supporting his brother Mudedeere as the next Member of Parliament for Kibuku county
