Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)in preparations for new Leaders
The Forum for Democratic Change is in preparations to choose new leaders.
Leaders elections were extended due to covid-19 restrictions on holding gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
According to party’s publicist, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the party could not elect new leaders without people congregating.
Nganda was yesterday addressing the press at the party’s headquarters in Najjanakumbi, Wakiso yesterday.
He revealed that the elections are now planned for around June/July this year.
Nganda noted that the grassroots elections will be concluded with a national delegates conference towards the end of the year, where new leaders will be elected.
He also said FDC president Patrick Oboi Amuriant will kick off a nationwide mobilization programme in Bugiri on March 4.
Ssemujju said the meetings will also be used to review the party’s performance in the last elections.
