COVID-19 cases in Uganda exceed 20,000

The country’s cumulative confirmed cases now stand at 20,459 after the Ministry of Health recorded 314 new COVID-19 cases from tests done on November 29.

The Ministry of Health in a statement also recorded 4 COVID-19 deaths bringing the total number to 205. The breakdown of the new cases shows that Kampala had 188, Wakiso (45), Iganga (12), Mbarara (11), Namutumba (8), Luwero (8), Jinja (8), Mukono (6), Buvuma (5), Kaliro (5), Bugiri (3), Buyende (3), Mayuge (3), Busia (2), Bugweri (2), Arua (2), Bundibugyo (1), Luuka (1), Mubende (1).

The Ministry of Health and the government’s reminder to the public has always been to adherence to the guidelines which include wearing masks, keeping social distance, and washing hands with either soap or disinfectants.
