Cabinet Approves Recruitment of 11000 Health Workers
At least 11000 health workers will be hired for the least-staffed districts to enable meet minimum facility staffing level according to the approved funding by the cabinet of Uganda for additional funding to boost service delivery in education, health, water and environment this week.
The project will also facilitate the renovation of 285 health centre111 across the country and construction of 134 health centres 111 in sub-counties without any health facility.
More approved was the construction of twin houses for health workers in the 285 health centres 111 and the rehabilitation of dilapidated health facilities.
The Permanent Secretary, Dr Diana Atwine confirmed the development adding that she will issue a statement detailing the cost of each of the Cabinet approved proposals for the upgrade, construction, equipping of health centre 111 and the recruitment of staff.
